Why take the December SAT and ACT?
Today I want to tell you why the December round of the SAT or ACT is your last best first round of testing.
Junior year is testing year. Ideally you want to finish all your testing by the end of junior year, and you want to take these tests at least two, maybe three times to make the most out of your superscore, where colleges put together your best of each subject.
If you take the test in December as your first round, then you have the February ACT or March SAT as your second round. That way, if you need a third round, you’ve got the spring, where there are two ACTs and two SATs for you to choose which date is best for that last text.
That’s really to your benefit because there are going to be spring sports; there are going to be proms; there are going to be AP or IB exams; and you don’t want to paint yourself into a corner by waiting until March for your first SAT, then having to choose to either do both of those spring tests or let your testing roll into the summer going into senior year or even later.
So get cracking, get registered for the December SAT and ACT now, and if you have more questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at 732-556-8220. We are here to help.
