Underclassman Admissions

Solution Prep helps students get into the colleges of their dreams. But successful applicants aren’t made overnight. The students who accomplish their goals in 12th grade are the ones who started on their paths much earlier. With Solution Prep’s help, families can lay a foundation to increase the chances of admission to top schools.

Underclassman Admissions is an age-appropriate, light start for 8th, 9th, & 10th graders before the big college project begins.

From school activities to summer programs to passion projects, students can develop a standout résumé that will look great to colleges and make for winning application essays.

Course Selection

Great grades aren’t enough; they have to be in the right classes with the right academic rigor. We help students build the competitive transcript top colleges are looking for.

College Financial Aid Planning

College is expensive. But the right strategies early can better position students for grants and scholarships. Still consult a financial planner, but know which questions to ask.

Mapping the Road Ahead

Hard work now will pay off later, and we help younger students connect those dots. Families also join our college visits to start developing a profile of their ideal college.

Adam was accepted to all of the colleges that he applied to. His top choice was Stevens Institute of Technology where he has committed to this fall. We are very excited, proud, happy, and overwhelmed!

I learnt about SolutionPrep last summer and just wished I had known about them say a year before my son was a junior. Eric brings in a wealth of experience helping students & parents guide through the grueling admissions process that includes SAT, preparing students for the essays, the financial aid and final the application submission. We used them for the summer and my son really found them very helpful and prepared him how to do the college applications he starts to apply to the school. Eric, Laura and team are very passionate about helping students and his sessions are very engaging, to the point and most importantly a lot of fun ! I highly recommend them and intend to use their services for my other kid in the years to come.

Solution Prep goes above and beyond being an SAT/ACT Prep course. In addition to a class which raised my daughter's scores 260 points(!), they've offered college tours, and workshops in choosing a college, essay writing, financial aid, and negotiating with colleges. We knew very little about this process before meeting Eric and the staff at Solution Prep. Now, we are happy to say out of 10 applications, my daughter did not receive one rejection letter. I am looking forward to enrolling my two younger children.

Solution Prep provides a well planned and thorough approach to SAT preparation. The communication to parents takes place before, during, and after the program which was extremely helpful in terms of understanding expectations and progress. And as to the technique, my son's score improved by 150 points, so they are definitely doing something right!

Eric and his team are second to none! Although we are not local to the New Brunswick/East Brunswick area, the online tutoring was perfect for our daughter who not only outperformed her PSAT, but had multiple offers from multiple top choices on her list. Would highly recommend Solution Prep and we'll be enrolling our son in the very near future.
September 2024 - Updating for our second child sent thru Solution Prep. Our son enjoyed his one on one sessions with Adam. He chose to study over the summer and improved over 250+ points above his PSAT on his August SAT. Eric and his team really have a handle on the new online test. This is a MUST do investment in your child's future.

Highly recommend! Solution prep team understands the application process, test prep, etc. Great strategies for exam and essay prep along with financial aid and college search information. Three children have been through program and improved scores dramatically. Eric is always available for questions. Great convenient zoom sessions for students and parents. Easy scheduling.

Very informative and personal. Definitely worth our time and money. Not only were the classes for my daughter helpful in preparing for both the SAT and the ACT they also boosted her confidence. The assistance did not end there. Solution prep continued guidance for both parents and child months after the classes ended. Solution Prep met the challenges of test preparation during a Covid year. They offered classes in person and virtually. The teacher was personable and the preparation was excellent. They give your child plenty of materials for additional practice, too. Solution Prep will even check it for your student. What you get for your money goes way beyond the lessons, however. Solution Prep offers so many FREE seminars on college decisions, funding, negotiating with colleges, etc. In addition to that, the email communication is excellent. If you are unable to make a presentation, they email a video of what you missed. I would highly recommend Solution Prep!

The entire team at Solutions Prep are patient and super helpful. The SAT classes provided great strategies/tips. Each workshops focused on important topics needed to get through this crazy college application process. Solutions Prep explain exactly was is needed and are always available to answer questions. Solution prep has been a tremendous help for Our boys Ryan and Ayden. Eric was their instructor and they both enjoyed going to class each week. Eric is wonderful with communicating and easy to talk to. Ryan and Ayden both have said how funny he can be 😊

This is a tremendous program! They are top notch in every single service that they offer. They really helped my daughter with her test prep, and as well as writing her college essays. They also provide numerous, super-helpful, free seminars for both the students and the parents. They cover every topic related to getting into college, from handholding you through the awful FAFSA, to how to negotiate with the colleges. I felt very supported throughout the entire process. They really do care. I highly recommend Solution Prep!

I’m so very happy to have found Solution Prep. We have done the SAT/ACT Prep with Sam, College Search with Laura and Total Essay with Laura. The free additional workshops from Eric on the college admissions process, financial aid advice and support, Common App essays, and negotiation with colleges has been invaluable. It turns out that the most stressful part of the college search is going to be my daughter picking one because she has so many good choices and she was so well prepared. Solution Prep has my highest recommendation.

I would recommend Solution Prep to any and all. I’d give them 10 stars if Google would allow that option. Eric helped my oldest with SAT prep and his essays. Eric and Laura helped my youngest through the entire process. The office staff (shout out to Jay) are helpful and responsive. Eric and Laura answered all my crazy questions, provided wonderful personalized materials, and literally took the reigns with our youngest son. He can have focus issues— Eric kept him on point, working with and through the chaos. All applications were in by the early action deadlines. We sat back and it just happened! And… wait for it… they both got accepted to their college of choice. Again, I highly recommend Solution Prep. They are the best!

Eric and his team at Solution Prep have been extremely helpful in navigating the SAT and college application process. As a parent sending their child off to college for the first time, Eric's information sessions and assistance have been very helpful. Things are very different from 30 + years ago when I was going through the college application process. Don't delay in calling Eric and utilizing his services. He's professional, friendly and knows the business. Samantha was extremely helpful in helping my child sharpen her essay and gave her the confidence she needed to keep writing without feeling like she didn't know where to begin. My daughter took the SAT/ACT prep class and her scores improved!!! Instructors focused on test strategies and there were plenty of practice tests. She also took the essay class which helped her define her college essay, tweak and make adjustments. This class was a very big help in deciding your topic and being confident with it.
Eric and his staff are easy and professional to work with. Communication is excellent, always addressed my questions. Their passion for the students and seeing them improve and be confident is evident. The free workshops are so helpful in explaining what to expect when applying, how to apply, how to strategize and how to pay for college.
Solution Prep was a perfect choice for my daughter and if you are looking for a good SAT/ACT prep class this is the place.

I like Solutions Prep because I feel not only did my child get support, Eric and the team are a good resource to me/parents. The smaller groups allows for more focus for the student. While it's true that your result will based on the effort you put in, every child is different and some needs more supervised support, structure and the test taking tips they provide. As a parent, Solution Prep is great because they hold informational sessions on Financial Aid, FAFSA applications and much more. This is what they do, they're good at it and help you navigate the overwhelming information out there on colleges.

If you are looking for your Child to succeed in preparing for College....Solutions Prep is THE place to go.The instructors are incredible and work well with the kids (AND Parents!!)...on every personality level. Very on point. My Son actually looked forward to the classes (even virtually). THAT says a lot, to me. On top of major preparation for SAT, ACT, Essays, etc...Solutions Prep instilled good study habits, tools, tips , continued encouragement and very accommodating throughout the process. The results are immeasurable 🙂 (beaming) AND...this entire College process was made LESS STRESSFUL for me as well. Eric and team provided invaluable information for Parents with zoom meetings, and continual communication with both my Son and myself. They offer a portal where you can access your childs results, tutorials, etc...I am writing this review just minutes after completing the final Zoom meeting, Fafsa set up, led by Eric. What weight has been lifted!! As a single parent, this money was VERY well spent. I can't thank them enough! If I could give them an extra star I would! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Keep up the great work Solutions Prep team!! THANK YOU!!!!

Heard about Solution Prep from a friend, it was definitely a great decision to go with Eric for my SAT tutoring. He practically saved me on the writing section back when that was mandatory, and boosted me on the other sections as well. His lessons went beyond just the material, getting into general exam day preparation tips and the inner workings of the test. Would recommend him to anybody.

It is my pleasure to share my thoughts on Solution Prep SAT. From the very first communication my husband and I had with this organization until right now three years later when our child is about to make his college choice, we have been verily impressed with the communications the group provides, the SAT tutoring our child sat through (which were not only extremely informative, but were fast paced and equally entertaining), and EVEN MORE IMPRESSED with the additional parent courses provided that perfectly suited the knowledge base I needed as the parent in this whole equation. For the record, we are truly happy parents, our child did well and I would heartily recommend Eric Ginsberg and his team at Solution Prep.

Solution Prep has done wonders for the SAT Testing and the college application process for our Son. They have worked very hard to make sure that the colleges we were interested in attending were achievable and the applications were all reviewed to make sure they were perfect before being submitted. By far the best in the business, a complete and thorough process from SAT prep to college admissions. Every inch of the program addressed my own needs and problems, and my current enrollment at CUA is in part thanks to them.
