Students in Small Group and Classroom courses:
- If your child will miss class for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. Because we concurrently teach multiple sessions of the same Small Group course, your student may be able to sit with a different group to make up the missed session. For uniquely customized Classroom courses, group make-ups may not be possible.
- To make up a missed session, you must email Questions@SolutionPrep.com. Someone will then email you back with available make-up dates when other small groups are meeting for that same lesson number, as well as the town name for each group.
- You must confirm which make-up date your student will be attending with at least 24 hours’ notice so that we have time to notify the hosting family of that small group and email you the address.
- Because things understandably come up, the first make-up is free as a courtesy; however, because a class schedule is a commitment, each make-up rescheduled thereafter will incur a $50 administrative fee added automatically to your future payment or due by check at that make-up if you have already finished paying for the course.
- If none of the make-up dates available work for your student, or if no make-up dates are available (for instance, if your student’s group is the last during that term to be scheduled for a specific lesson number and you notify your teacher of the expected absence after the other groups have met), you may schedule a 1-on-1 make-up session at our current 1-on-1 rate of $115/hr. Our 1-on-1 sessions are 2.5 hours.
- Such 1-on-1 make-up sessions are based on teachers’ availability and at the teachers’ discretion.
- Because our program is cumulative, keeping the sessions in chronological order is important to ensure your student gets the most out of our program.
- If a student cannot make up a session before the end of the program, that student is still welcome to make up the missed session any time it is being held within one (1) year from the missed class, and it is the parents’ responsibility to notify us at Questions@Solutionprep.com that this option is being exercised.
- Class registration may be cancelled for a 100% refund with at least 30 days’ notice before the first scheduled session, 80% course refund with fewer than 30 days before the first session, and 50% course refund after the first session.
- No refunds – in part or in full – will be issued for missed classes that are not made up, or for canceling the program after the second class.
Students in 1-on-1 Test Prep:
- If your child will miss a session for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. Because we frequently have a waiting list for our time, your account will be charged for a missed class if you do not notify your teacher at least 24 hours in advance.
- The sooner you let us know about an expected missed session, the more likely we will be able to schedule a make-up session.
- Make-up sessions with fewer than 24 hours’ notice are based on teachers’ availability and at the teachers’ discretion, and are billed at our 1-on-1 rate of $115/hr.
- Because things understandably come up, the first make-up is free as a courtesy; however, because a class schedule is a commitment, each make-up rescheduled thereafter will incur a $50 administrative fee added automatically to your future payment or due by check at that make-up if you have already finished paying for the course.
- To cancel a session or to make up a missed session, you must email Questions@SolutionPrep.com. Someone will then email you back with available make-up dates. These make-up dates are dependent on your teacher’s availability.
- You must confirm which make-up date you will be scheduling for your student with at least 24 hours’ notice. But because we frequently have a waiting list for our time, and the same available make-up dates may be sent out to multiple families at once, we cannot guarantee that make-up dates offered by email will still be available by the time you reply.
- Your student is also welcome to make up a missed session with one of our small groups, and it is the parents’ responsibility to notify us at Questions@SolutionPrep.com that this option is being exercised.
- If none of the make-up dates available work for your student, or if no make-up dates are available (for instance, if you are on our waiting list for a make-up session and nothing becomes available before your student’s upcoming test), your student is still welcome to make up the missed session within one (1) year from the missed class, and it is the parents’ responsibility to notify Questions@SolutionPrep.com that this option is being exercised.
- Because our program is cumulative, keeping the sessions in chronological order is important to ensure your student gets the most out of our program.
- 1-on-1 registration may be cancelled for a 100% refund with at least 30 days’ notice before the first scheduled session, 80% course refund with fewer than 30 days before the first session, and 50% course refund after the first session.
- No refunds – in part or in whole – will be issued for: missed classes that are not made up; a 1-on-1 student making up a missed session with a small group; canceling the program after the second class.
Students scheduled for practice tests:
- If your child will miss a practice test for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible. Because we offer practice tests on a regular basis, your student is welcome make up an SAT or ACT on any other day that the respective practice test is offered.
- To make up a missed test, you must check available practice test dates at https://solutionprep.com/calendar and email your preferred make-up date request to Questions@SolutionPrep.com. Someone will then email you back to confirm that there is available space on that day, at that time.
- You must confirm which make-up date your student will be testing with at least 24 hours’ notice so that we have time to prepare materials.
- If none of the make-up dates available work for your student, or if no make-up dates are available (for instance, if your student’s next test will be before the next available make-up date), you may request to have a copy of the test emailed to you to take at home with the virtual proctor located in your parent portal, or to come to our Wall center on another day to test with the virtual proctor in a private room.
- Such in-center, private make-up tests are based on room availability and are available at no additional cost.
- Because our program is cumulative, we strongly recommend scheduling all practice tests – make-up or otherwise – no sooner than after a student’s 7th class session (3rd for 1-subject 1-on-1 prep) to ensure your student gets the most out of our program.
- If a student cannot make up a practice test before the upcoming test, that student is still welcome to make up the missed practice test any time it is being held within one (1) year from the missed test, and it is the parents’ responsibility to notify us at Questions@Solutionprep.com that this option is being exercised.
- No refunds – in part or in full – will be issued for missed practice tests that are not made up.
