When Do SAT & ACT Scores Come Out?
Hey guys, it’s Eric at Solution Prep, and today we’re answering the question: When will I get my SAT or ACT scores?
If you take the SAT on one of the seven national test dates throughout the year, scores typically take 13 days. That’ll be two Fridays later. You can log in and get them at SAT.org, which is the SAT specific shortcut within Collegeboard.org. That score date is the same for students testing on Sunday with a religious exemption against testing on Saturday.
However, if you take a school day test that your school is administering during the school week, scores typically take an extra week, 20 days total, so that’s three Fridays later. The ACT is a little faster. Scores typically take 10 days to post at ACT.org, but for both of them, scores trickle out throughout the day. So your friends might get scores in the morning, and you might have to wait until sometime in the evening for your scores to be ready. So if you don’t see them first thing, don’t panic.
In rare cases when scores are under review, they can take weeks longer. Now, in October, high schools have all month to administer the PSAT, and many schools also use that as an opportunity to administer a school day SAT for their seniors while their juniors and sophomores and maybe even freshmen are taking the PSAT. But this year, 2024, if you take a test in school from October 1st to October 11th, your scores will come out on October 24th. If you take a school day test from October 12th to 26th, scores come out November 7th. And if you’re taking a test in school from October 27th to October 31st, scores will come out November 14th.
