I’ve given you long walk-through videos and quick, one-minute nuggets and webinars and all kinds of stuff. But in today’s video, I’m finally going to tell you the biggest secret about college admissions.

There is no secret. Sorry, there’s no secret. All the information is out there.

So, how are people like me such experts? Because this is what we do all day, every day. I read all the articles and I listen to all the interviews and news stories and I check out podcasts and I dig through the Common Data Set and I’ve got a great memory and people like me, there’s no real magic to it. It’s just a matter of when this is your passion and this is what you do every day, day-in and day-out, you can become great at it.

So stop believing the clickbait. Stop thinking that “if I tune into this one 60-minute webinar that I saw advertised on some social media that then I’ll be an expert at college admissions” and you know even people who pay big money for some college to give them like a week-long course like it does not make you an expert in this stuff.

Guys, I’ve been doing this for decades and I’m not the only one. But if you can handle this stuff on your own, go ahead handle it on your own. But if you do need help, hire somebody who can help — who is an expert — because that’s the secret: just knowing to ask for help when you need it and getting help on the things that you need so you don’t have to go it alone.
